Because your Shopify store is brand new, Facebook's security bots don't recognize the URL yet and are flagging it as a precaution to prevent phishing.
How to Clear the Link Warning
  1. Use the Meta Debugger: Go to the Meta Sharing Debugger. Paste your Shopify website link into the bar and click Debug.
  2. Force a Re-Scrape: If it shows old data or an error, click the Scrape Again button. This forces Facebook's system to check your live site and see that it is a valid Shopify store.
  3. Report the False Positive: If your post itself is flagged on your timeline, look for a "Notice" or "See Why" option on the warning. Click it and select "Report a Problem" or "This isn't a scam" to submit a manual dispute.
Two Quick Things to Check First
  • Remove Your Shopify Password: Make sure your online store password is turned off in your Shopify dashboard (Online Store > Preferences). If Facebook's bot hits a password landing page, it will automatically flag it as a suspicious or fake site.

Facebook automatically treats free myshopify.com subdomains with low trust scores because they are frequently used by bad actors to spin up temporary sites. Because your store has no established traffic history, Facebook’s automated safety filters are triggering a "scam" or "suspicious link" warning for your friends as a default precaution.
How to Fix This Permanently
  1. Connect a Custom Domain (Highly Recommended):
    Buying a custom domain (like purerelease.com or purereleasegear.com) is the single most effective way to eliminate this warning. It tells Facebook's automated security system that you are a legitimate business.
    • Go to your Shopify Admin dashboard.
    • Navigate to Settings > Domains.
    • Click Buy new domain or connect one you already own.
  2. Add a Terms of Service & Refund Policy:
    Facebook's link crawlers search your site for mandatory legal pages to verify your legitimacy. The scraped data shows you only have a Privacy Policy up right now.
    • In Shopify, go to Settings > Policies.
